Bilgola surf life saving club

Our Volunteer Surf Lifesavers patrol Bilgola Beach from September to April each year, ensuring that beach goers have a safe and enjoyable time at our beach.

At Bilgola SLSC our Club’s purpose is to help cultivate and develop an active and healthy community. We have plenty to offer across many areas, from becoming a Surf Lifesaver or a Nipper, to Sport, Education and Functions.

Enjoy Bilgola Beach…

  • SOMEONE IN YOUR CLUB MAY REMEMBER YOU 30 YEARS FROM NOW.

The influence we have on young people in Surf Life Saving goes far beyond the beach.

Trainers. Patrol captains. Age managers. Coaches. Assessors. Experienced patrol members. Many of us may already be “Lighthouses” for young people without ever realising it.

Our Deputy CTO's article: Why Surf Life Saving Needs More Lighthouses explores the influence trusted, consistent adults can have during adolescence... and why surf clubs are uniquely placed to create those relationships.

The article also includes details and registration for our Lighthouse Leadership and Mentoring evening at Bilgola SLSC on Wednesday 21 October at 7pm, open to members from all surf clubs and community leaders who work with or mentor young people.

Read the article via the link in our bio.

For our friends across the Northern Beaches surf lifesaving community, we’d love you to read, share and join the conversation.
