IRB Racing
Bilgola SLSC members compete in Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) racing to hone their skills and better serve the general public while patrolling our beach.
IRB racing is exciting, fun, fast, action packed and a great team sport. IRB competition is contended during the off season, given the need for the IRB during summer patrols. IRB Racing is a rescue simulation of a real life scenario, testing the skill of the crew in negotiating the craft through the surf, maneuvering the craft and adapting to various beach conditions.
